  To the moon

Rumor has it that Instrument Shop supervisor George Henry once worked on parts for the Apollo moon missions. When asked about it, he says he started his career at Boeing, working in research and development, rather than production, right from the start.

“After my transfer from Boeing Field to the Kent Space Center, I did in fact manufacture developmental and test parts for the rovers,” he says. “These were designed by NASA and Boeing engineers.

“I would never know for a certainty if any of my efforts landed on the moon, but I do like to think so.”
